Yusei Fudo is an 18-year-old young man of Japanese descent. He’s the eldest of the Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonists, standing at 175 cm (just under 5' 9") and weighing in at 58 kg (just under 127.9 lbs.). Yusei’s rather slender, and his long arms and legs give him a lanky appearance.
Owing to his life in the slum city of Satellite, Yusei developed a lean physique with an athletic build and solid muscle, particularly in his chest and arms. His skin is a warm tan, his eyes are a royal purplish blue, and like many other Yu-Gi-Oh! characters, he possesses a very unique hairstyle.
The majority of Yusei’s hair is black with golden highlights and streaks; his hair grows in a series of horn-like spikes jutting upward on either side of his head, several spikes arching downward on the back of his head above his neck, and a pair of long bangs flanking a cluster of shorter bangs above his eyes. As is the normal case in his home series, his hair’s color and style are completely natural; the series' creator states it completes a "rock, paper, scissors" theme shared with Yugi Muto and Jaden Yuki.
Early in his story, Yusei acquires a golden criminal mark on the left side of his face, consisting of a triangle below the corner of his eye and a jagged streak running from the bottom of his eye down the surface of his cheek to his jawline. Yusei’s Dragon Birthmark (竜の痣 Ryuu no Aza) was a red outline of the Crimson Dragon’s tail, which was permanently burned onto his right forearm after the events concluding the Fortune Cup. It is later replaced by the dragon’s head mark upon his defeat of Rex Goodwin. Yusei also has a puncture scar on his stomach from where he was wounded in a D-Wheel crash during his first duel with Kiryu.

✨ Clothes
↬
Yusei’s normal clothes resemble stereotypical "motorcyclist" fashion, incorporating jackets, shirts, gloves, jeans, belts, and boots. His preferred jacket is a long-sleeved blue piece with a high collar and a gravity-defying flared bottom, all hemmed in black and decorated with a number of round amber gems that also serve as shoulder and elbow pads. Yusei tends to favor a sleeveless black shirt with a low-cut collar and an abstract red symbol running from front to back.
His pants are a pair of nondescript dark grey jeans fitted snug around his thighs but more rumpled towards his hips and shins, probably due to the amber gem knee pads strapped around his knees. Both his gloves and his motorcycle boots are of the same off tan color, rimmed in black, reaching just below his elbows and above his calves, and decorated with the same amber gems found on his jacket and pants. A plain brown belt holds it all together, as well as containing two Deck holsters hidden under his jacket, one for his Standing Duel Deck and one for his Riding Duel Deck.
During his time in Crash Town, Yusei replaced his Duel Disk with the Duel Disk revolvers used in the town, and wore a brown poncho over his normal clothes with his Mark of the Dragon designed on it. During the World Racing Grand Prix, he gets a new Riding Dueling outfit that is similar to his old clothes but is more form-fitting. The new outfit consists of the same blue jacket with amber gems, but the flared bottom is replaced by a black strap with an orange outline, and wears blue jeans with amber gems at the knees with knee-high boots.
